Tip your bill. Or more. Treat your server like a human. Be nice to the people that “don’t matter.” One of the things I’ve come across over and over while reading books and articles or watching documentaries about Frank Sinatra is that his generosity was unparalleled. He went out every night with hundred dollar bills bulging from his pockets and came back home with his pockets empty. One particular evening when his car was being brought to him, he asked the valet how much the biggest tip he’d ever received was. The valet said “$100.” So Mr. Sinatra gave him $200. Then he asked the valet who gave him the $100 and the valet replied, “you did, sir. Last week.” Be that kind of man.
